12) Privacy Notice for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

This section applies to California residents and is provided in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (collectively, “CCPA”). Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning here.

How to Exercise Your Rights & Contact Us

If your personal information changes (e.g., email or mailing address) or you no longer wish to receive information from us, we will make reasonable efforts to correct, update, or remove your information from our records.

  • To submit a request (access/know, delete, correct, portability, or to opt out of “sale”/“sharing”), email privacy@golfcartresource.com.
    Subject line: “CCPA Request – [Right] – [Dealership Name]” (e.g., Access, Delete, Correct, Opt Out).
    Include: your full name, email address, phone number (optional), and a brief description of your request.
  • To appeal a decision about a prior request, email privacy@golfcartresource.com with the subject line “CCPA Appeal – [Dealership Name]” and include your original request details.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link in our emails, and you can stop receiving SMS messages (if applicable) by replying STOP.

Verification

To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We may ask you to provide:

  • Enough information to identify you (e.g., full name, email address, and phone number), and
  • A description of the right you wish to exercise and the information your request relates to.

We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law. You can opt out by emailing privacy@golfcartresource.com with the subject “CCPA Request – Opt Out – [Dealership Name]”.

Disclosures in the Last 12 Months

In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected and disclosed the following categories of personal information for business purposes: identifiers; personal information described in Cal. Civ. Code §1798.80(e); commercial information; internet or other electronic network activity; geolocation data; professional or employment-related information; and inferences. Deletion Requests — Exceptions

We may deny all or part of a deletion request where retention is necessary, for example, to:

  • Debug and repair errors,
  • Comply with a legal obligation,
  • Enable solely internal uses reasonably aligned with consumer expectations, or

Frequency & Timelines

We will acknowledge your request, verify identity as needed, and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days, with a permitted extension where reasonably necessary). We are not required to provide access more than twice in a 12-month period.

13) International users & data transfers

If you are outside the U.S., your information may be processed in countries that may not provide the same level of protection. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
